As our employee or a small supplier of Pick n Pay, your privacy and trust is important to us. Accordingly, we ensure that your personally identifiable information (hereafter referred to as “information”) is collected and handled lawfully. We will always endeavour to protect this information and hold it in confidence.

Information supplied by you via the mobile application or mobile site is provided voluntarily to Pick n Pay. By supplying this information, you acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an unconditional, specific and voluntary consent to the processing (including storage and advertising on Social media platforms) of such information.

The main objective of the app is to pair Small Suppliers with as well as offer Small Suppliers with access to valuable content and services to help develop their business. The personal information you supply is used to facilitate the mentorship process, to respond to your inquiries or in other ways naturally associated with the circumstances in which you provided the information.

When signing up for this service, you are required to create a user account. You agree that you will provide accurate personal information to us and keep it updated, and that you will not create a false identity or an account for anyone other than yourself. You also agree that you will keep your password a secret, and that you will not share your account with anyone else. You are responsible for anything that happens through your account. If you suspect its misuse or compromise, you must report it to the head of the Enterprise Development program as soon as possible.

This mobile application and mobile site service collects personally identifying information. For instance, when you register for the application, you are required to provide your PnP vendor number (Small Supplier) and your name, work email and telephone number, company name, photograph and area expertise for Small Suppliers and Mentors to assist in validating you as a Supplier or Mentor. In-app menu activity is also collected to facilitate improvements to content and assess consumption of content. Our servers may also automatically collect information about your mobile device when you access the mobile application, including without limitation the type of browser software you use, the operating system you are running, and registered location of external IP address.

We have partnered with an external company (Refresh Creative Media) to assist in delivering this service who may process information in order to provide the agreed services to Pick n Pay e.g. consolidation of feedback, usage statistics.

We will only keep this information for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes listed above. We will take appropriate reasonable technical and organizational measures to prevent loss of, damage to, or unauthorized destruction and unlawful access to or processing of your personal information. This may include the transfer of data outside of South Africa.
